Good food and good company.

A good meal is a chance to slow down, sit together and enjoy conversation. At Acorn House, families have spoken warmly about the food as well as the care.

What someone likes to eat matters too. We take account of familiar favourites, dietary needs and the help they may need at the table.

“Acorn House is amazing, the staff are truly wonderful, ... the food and quality is simply superb, I would highly recommend this lovely place.”

Reviews

Kind words from our families.

Families and friends rate Acorn House 9.7 out of 10 on carehome.co.uk, the independent review site.

From the start, the staff, management and owners have been first class, ... I was very anxious about mum's move, but I'm so relieved and delighted I did it. No more falls, attended to quickly, ... If anyone is thinking of placing their loved one here, take it from someone who knows, genuine real caring staff. I couldn't be happier and my mum is safe, happy and content here.

Perfectly delightful. I came to visit my friend's mum before Christmas. I found Acorn House to be well-run clean and very welcoming. There was a great Christmas feel and everyone seemed to be in the festive spirit. The residents seemed happy and well looked after. My friend's mum couldn't be happier it was a pleasure to see.
Can't sing this homes praise enough, keep up the good work.

This is a fantastic care home. ... Being a relatively small home, the staff all get to know the likes/dislikes of each resident. They accommodate those, whether that's with food, TV or conversation. Nothing's too much trouble. The food is great. Proper vegetables! ... When we viewed it, the manager described their style as "resident-led led" and that's exactly what it is. Brilliant.

I visited a friend living in Acorn House over the Christmas period and was impressed with the homely atmosphere and care that the staff members gave to the residents. The home was very clean and comfortable. My friend is very happy and settled living there, having the ability to take personal belongings has helped provide them with a feeling of being at home.
